Celebration of the Oaks

Before K-man left for Pittsburgh, he and I went on a double-date to the
Celebration of the Oaks at City Park where we got married. There were
snow machines making snow, ice skating, old-school carnival rides,
and funnel cake.

In the Oaks they had a very charming light display with the Cajun version of
The Night Before Christmas. Play this to listen to the story, the video isn't
 that great.




My favorite ride was the lady-bug roller coaster:



(it had an old-school hand break that the worker had to put all his weight into
to stop the coaster)

I also liked the fun slide. I had never seen one before. You slide down on a
burlap sack:
